Full House Repaint, Sale

A five-bedroom family home in Sale, recently purchased by a young family, and a brief that wanted the whole property — inside and out — refreshed before they moved in fully. The interior phase ran first: every room, the staircase, the hallway and the upstairs landing across twelve working days, scheduled so the family could move into the ground floor while the upstairs was still being completed and then swap once the downstairs was signed off. Walls were prepped, filled, caulked along edges and lined in two of the larger reception rooms where the existing plaster had patchy areas. Two full coats of trade-grade vinyl matt went on the walls and ceilings in the agreed schemes, with the main reception and the master bedroom finished in a premium range chosen for their depth of colour and finish. Woodwork throughout was prepared, knotting sealed, primed and finished in water-based eggshell so it would hold its colour over time. The exterior phase followed once the interior was complete: render repainted in a breathable masonry paint after pressure-washing, surface prep and a fungicidal treatment on the shaded north elevation; soffits, fascias and gutter lines prepared and finished in a UV-stable trim paint; and the front door burnt off, repaired where the lower rail had taken moisture damage, and finished with a spray-applied two-pack lacquer for a hard, even finish. The whole project ran over three weeks across May and June, working around weather windows for the exterior phase and the family’s move-in schedule for the interior.
