Full surface preparation

Walls and ceilings inspected and filled with two-pack or lightweight filler, caulked along edges, sanded back smooth and primed where the substrate or stains demand it — no shortcuts before paint goes on.

Plaster sealing for new walls

Fresh plasterboard and newly skimmed walls sealed with a thinned mist coat before colour goes on, so the topcoat doesn’t soak in unevenly and the finish stays consistent across the whole wall.

Two full topcoats as standard

Walls and ceilings finished in two coats of trade-grade matt or silk emulsion, applied with roller and brush to give an even, opaque finish — no patchy areas where the previous colour shows through.

Choice of paint brands

Dulux Trade, Crown and Johnstone’s as standard for everyday durability; Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or any specialist brand available on request — colour-matched to existing schemes if needed.

Sharp cut-ins by hand

Edges around skirtings, architraves, ceilings, sockets and switches cut in by brush — no sloppy lines or paint on adjoining surfaces. Wall and trim finishes prepped separately so they don’t bleed into each other.

Furniture and floor protection

Carpets covered with proofed dust sheets, hard floors lined with rosin paper, and furniture moved away from walls and sheeted up at the start of each day so the rest of the house stays usable.

Daily clean-down

Site cleared of dust sheets, paint cans and tools at the end of each working day with rooms left walkable until the next session. Waste, used tape and sheeting removed at the end of the job.

Snag-free handover

Walk-round at the end with you to spot any touch-ups, drips or thin patches before the kit leaves — any genuine snags fixed there and then, not booked back in weeks later.
